Hello and welcome!

Throughout this website you will find links, pictures, and tidbits about my professional career. While I primarily consider myself a director, I have also, throughout my theatrical career, actively pursued stage management and theatre management positions. I have decided to include links to those aspects of my career and my thoughts on each position (as well as examples of my written work) on their respective pages which are linked above.

As a director, I am always striving to find the emotional heart of any production I work on. The heart is always my access point to the work and I try to lead the audience there as well. I also strive to find the humor in the darkness. Whether it is farce or tragedy, I believe all works drip with comedy that is often untapped and underappreciated. It is the contrast of comedy and drama that excites me the most. I hope you will see that contrast and the balance of humor and heart in the select images I have included on this site. This intersection has proven to be a guide for me on all my theatrical ventures.

Professionally I strive to bring positivity and hope to those I collaborate with in order to create the best work possible. I believe Judith Light said it best,

"This business isn't about me, it's about the team."

In this business we all must give our best in order to accomplish the most.  The team, for me, is not just the artist and collaborators, but those who we create for, the audience.

This fall I will be I will be making my Kansas City directorial debut with Forge Repertory Theatre's production of Eric Overmyer's On the Verge or: The Geography of Yearning. In May of 2020 I will follow up my directorial debut with John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath also with Forge Repertory Theatre  In May 2017 I graduated with my MFA in Directing from the University of South Dakota. Previously I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with my BFA in Performance and an emphasis in Nonverbal Communication.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any comments or questions through my contact page. I look forward to hearing from you.
